In 1996, a small gym in Amman, Jordan opened up and offered excellent services and facilities for less. The name was Fitness One, and it was headed by Mr. Kazem Abu Ghazaleh, an avid sportsman with great experience in the health and fitness segment. A few years later, Fitness One doubled in size and offered non-mixed gyms. The decision proved to be a remarkable success, when the number of members increased exponentially. Shortly after, an introduction of ‘Group Exercise Classes’ for the ladies gyms claimed even a bigger portion of the market share in Amman, which led to opening more ladies-only gyms in the Jordanian capital. Today, Fitness One is the biggest chain of gyms in Jordan, with over 7 gyms and a new cutting-edge flagship Health and Wellness center. With over 175,000sq ft., the new facility is the biggest gym in the middle east region, offering a new experience for the whole family with the newest technologies in fitness machines, a dedicated kids gym, an indoor climbing wall, a scuba diving center and many more facilities.
