Fermenstation was established with the mission of creating a circular economic society by regenerating and upcycling unused resources through its original fermentation technology. Incorporated in Tokyo in 2009, Fermenstation is also deeply rooted in Iwate where they manufacture sustainable organic rice alcohol and other functional cosmetic ingredients. Their unique production system creates zero waste, utilizes green energy, and does not use animal testing. It is also actively partnering with businesses that are looking to reuse their once industrial waste. Beginning from food and beverage companies to importers of fruits, it has upcycled food waste into alcohol and fermented extracts, then to various cosmetic, aroma and homecare products. Founded upon fermentation technology discovered and developed in Japan, Fermenstation is the supplier of clean beauty, organic, upcycled materials worldwide as well as develop its own Japan beauty brand. Fermenstation promotes its business based on commitments from the five perspectives (environment, society, governance, business and products) and its purpose is “Fermenting a Renewable Society”.
