Family Nurse Partnership National Unit

📍 London, United Kingdom🗓 Founded 2007👥 26 employees
The Family Nurse Partnership is a maternal and early years public health programme. It provides on-going, intensive support to young, first-time mothers and their babies through a series of structured home visits delivered by highly-trained nurses. The home visits start in early pregnancy and continue until the child’s second birthday. Health in pregnancy and the relationship between mothers and their babies during the first years of life can have a long lasting impact on a child’s future health, happiness, relationships and achievement of their aspirations. The Family Nurse Partnership is underpinned by a robust evidence base. This demonstrates it has the potential to transform the life chances of some of the most vulnerable children and families in our society, with long-term positive impacts on health, social and educational outcomes of children and their parents. The Family Nurse Partnership National Unit leads national delivery of the programme and supports local organisations with implementation. Twitter: @FNPNationalUnit
