Explorandes is the pioneer adventure and sustainable tour operator in the region, with over 46 years in the market. We were the first tour operator to develop trekking as a tourism activity and the first to offer the now famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu to international tourists back in 1975. We are also the first tourism company in the Americas to have developed an ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System which has evolved over the past 20 years to become a Sustainability Management System that meets the Rainforest Alliance’s Sustainable Tourism Standards. We are winners of the World Travel Awards “World’s Leading Green Tour Operator” category in 2018, 2019 y 2020.
