Combining a vibrant community house in urban Denver, adventures in the rocky mountains and international exposure the participants of Denver Gap Year will have a unique opportunity as they transition out of high school. Helping students grow in their Christian faith, develop their vision for life and be prepared for life after high school is the goal of Denver Gap Year. This will be done through many different avenues: - Classes taught by staff, pastors and community leaders will help students grow in their relationship with Jesus. - Camping, hiking and adventures in the Rocky Mountains will challenge students limits while giving a space for contemplation. - An international mission trip will expose students to a different culture and the needs of the world. - Connection to and service of local non-profits will teach students how to be actively involved in combating injustice in America. - A vibrant and healthy community house led by trained house parents helps students learn about themselves and to live in good community. Officially established as a 501c3 in January of 2017 and currently in the process of building the team and infrastructure to make this life changing program a reality.
