DOC CARES is a national nonprofit platform founded by Tracy "The D.O.C." Curry — Dallas native, Grammy Lifetime Achievement recipient, and community architect. We develop and implement high-impact solutions that drive measurable outcomes for underserved communities across four focus areas: Education & Workforce Development, Civic & Community Engagement, Gun Violence Reduction, and Financial Equity.
We are not a single program. We are building an institution.
Dreams Experience Academy (DEA) is our first and flagship vertical — a community-driven learning platform providing certifications and revenue-generating opportunities for underrepresented youth in grades 7–12. DEA equips students with the skills and pathways to thrive in the combined $3 trillion Media, Entertainment, and Technology sectors. Always free of charge. Always community-rooted.
We are aware of the pipeline to prison. We are more interested in the pipeline to prosperity.
Our 2025 summer pilot in Southern Dallas featured immersive, in-person programming with Dude Perfect, GameSquare, the Dallas Mavericks, and other industry partners — with special guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu, and Dr. Dre. Program-market fit achieved.
