Our roots can be traced back to our Founders research enquiry into the impacts of mass tourism on local lives and environments in the developing world. The lure of exotic food, people, and landscapes pull millions of wealthy tourists to poor nations every year. Unfortunately, local people bear the brunt of environmental and social impact.
