CommonGround Capital exists to finance the places that hold communities together. Across towns, villages and neighbourhoods, the shared spaces where people meet — community hubs, pubs, local shops, sports grounds, halls and social centres — are under growing pressure. At the same time, loneliness and social isolation are rising, and traditional funding models are not designed to value connection as an outcome. CommonGround Capital was established to address this gap. We provide patient, low-cost lending to community assets and local organisations so they can remain open, viable, and embedded in the life of the communities they serve. Our approach recognises that these places are more than buildings: they are social infrastructure — the environments where relationships form, belonging grows, and resilience is built over time.
