CMD-IT is the national Center for Minorities and People with Disabilities in Information Technology that is focused on the following under-represented groups: African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanics, and People with Disabilities. Our vision is to contribute to the national need for an effective workforce in computing and IT through synergistic activities related to minorities and people with disabilities. We produce the Tapia Conference which is the premier venue to acknowledge, promote and celebrate diversity in computing. Our programs are consistent with both aspects of our mission, to ensure that under-represented groups are fully engaged in computing and promote innovation that enriches these communities.
