It is heard by more than 1 million people each week across more than 500 public radio stations in the United States, and is produced by the Center for Investigative Reporting, which also produces the investigative magazine Mother Jones. Reveal empowers the public through groundbreaking storytelling that sparks action, improves lives, and protects our democracy. Our mission is to hold the powerful accountable by reporting about everything from racial and social injustices to threats to public safety and democracy. We are an independent newsroom (meaning we don’t have any corporate owners), and are accountable only to you, our listeners. We are based in San Francisco, and our staff is spread across the country.
