Founded in 1994, Cascade applies a fundamental, long horizon investment approach across asset classes and geographies. While Cascade manages the assets of the Trust, which funds the Gates Foundation, neither Cascade nor the Trust play a role in the grantmaking or operations of the foundation. Additionally, the foundation does not control or participate in the Trust’s investment activities.
