Candlelit Care offers virtual culturally-affirming perinatal mental health screening, coaching and psychoeducation for Black women and birthing parents who experience stress, depression, anxiety or PTSD while trying to conceive, pregnant and recovering from birth. We remove common barriers to traditional mental health support by offering at-home symptom triage, same-day coaching and symptom education through partnership with birthworkers to prevent life-threatening birth outcomes in a new way. We are transforming prenatal and postpartum mental healthcare at scale through collaborative partnerships with local advocates, universal screening, culturally affirming coaching, and evidence-based education for Black women and their families. Each parent receives a dedicated coach for each stage of their pregnancy or postpartum period.
