The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canadas largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues. As a teaching hospital, CAMH provides education, training, internships and residencies for students. People training to work in the health care field, including psychiatrists, psychologists, pharmacists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and laboratory technologists, come to CAMH for practical experience. We believe that Mental Health is Health, and through our work we are building a movement for social change: raising awareness, challenging prejudice, and advocating for public policies that support mental health. Please note that our social media channels are not monitored 24/7. If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, you are deserving of help - visit www.camh.ca/gethelp for more information. If you feel safe in the moment, follow up with your family physician or care team. If you require immediate, in-person emergency care, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.
