Byos is an Endpoint Security company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Our team has decades of combined experience providing defensive and offensive security solutions, on-demand incident detection and response services, personalized strategy planning and execution, and high-end, hands-on technical training for both public and private sector clients. In 2018, we detected a problem with the way devices connect to networks: by default, they are always exposed to the connected network, leaving architecture, software versioning, ports, and services information visible to attackers. Endpoint security has always been delegated to the operating system and the upper layers of software, but the software-based security model is broken; it doesn’t fit well with BYOD/unmanaged devices, traveling and remote workforces, and zero-trust network environments. We believe that the strongest form of protection exists when endpoint security isn’t dependent on the OS or a software client, but instead, resides outside of the host device - a concept we call Endpoint Microsegmentation through Hardware-Enforced Isolation. We have built a solution that provides: - Streamlined provisioning for all categories of endpoint devices - Centralized fleet management for all aspects of device lifecycle management - Immunity from device-borne threats on zero-trust networks Our vision is to create a new baseline for endpoint security, by eliminating the weaknesses left by software.
