Boston Cell Standards

Boston Cell Standards developed the world’s first calibrators and controls for immunohistochemistry testing, introducing standardized units of measure (molecules per cell) linked with an international standard (NIST SRM 1934). This breakthrough opens new opportunities for improved disease understanding, diagnosis, and treatment. In the clinical environment, our IHControls are being used in place of traditional control tissue. Our IHCalibrators are being used for new assay work-up, calibration of instrumentation, and as part of a QA/QC process to track day-to-day variabilities. In the pharma/life science arenas, BCS products are being used by primary investigators in early-stage drug development (in lieu of costly commercial controls) and by CROs at the onset of clinical trials (to ensure instrument and assay accuracy), to name a few uses.
