Why dedicate our lives to reducing plastic?
When we learned that only 9% of the plastic we put in our recycling bin is actually recycled, and that many common household ingredients were carcinogenic, we knew we had to do better. Refilling is a simple solution that can also offer better quality, longer lasting products made out of better materials (like steel, tin and paper!) We knew other people were feeling the same.
We created Better Basics to simplify your life and make eco-living easy. Better Basics is female-founded by Samantha Rayner and Caitlin Rushton in Vancouver, BC. We are a small, remote team that prioritizes open communication, a culture of performance, self-betterment, and growth. We harness years of experience with multi-national, billion-dollar companies, and apply those learnings to create an efficient and supportive work environment. We offer the opportunity to build and grow a company that is on a mission to improve the world. We have a lot of fun while we’re at it too.
