Apprentago is an AI-powered early careers platform helping young people find, learn, and land apprenticeships and work experience opportunities.
The idea came from Carlo Weaver (Founder/CEO) own experience. At 15, I was homeless with my mum in East London, had failed all my GCSEs, and was navigating the world with autism. By chance I discovered a degree apprenticeship buried on page six of Google. That single opportunity changed my life. Taking me from Universal Credit to co-managing an £83m investment portfolio at NatWest while earning a salary and a debt-free university degree.
I built Apprentago so no young person has to find their future on page six of Google.
Today Apprentago provides students with tools to discover opportunities, build AI-generated CVs, track applications, and prepare for interviews with an AI career coach — all in one place and free to access.
The platform connects students, employers, educators and government through what we call the Triangle of Engagement, creating the digital infrastructure needed to scale apprenticeships and work experience nationally.
Apprentago has now been used by 50+ employers including Deutsche Bank, Bentley Motors and DHL, has secured angel investment from exited 9-figure founders like Richard Waddington, and is government funded through the UK Youth Guarantee, working with Combined Authorities to deploy the platform across schools and colleges and collaborating with Job Centre Plus too.
Our mission is simple: talent is everywhere — opportunity isn’t.
