AMINO Capital is a venture firm based in Palo Alto, focusing on seed to growth-stage investments in data-driven technology startups that later became unicorns, such as Grail, Webflow, Weee!, Chime Bank, Rippling, Dfinity, etc. We are also early backers of next generation blockchain protocol since 2013, and led the seed and A round of String Labs, which incubated one the most anticipated ICOs in 2018, DFINITY. We participated in pre-sales and ICO of DFINITY, NuCypher, Kyber, 0X, Grid+, OmiseGo, which later became known as the first ICO unicorn. The firm was founded in 2012 by a unique team of over 80 technology executives and innovators from Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Tencent, Alibaba, U of Chicago, Stanford U, Tsinghua U and et al. Since inception, the firm has invested over 130 seed stage companies, following with additional investments in series A and B. Until today, there are 6 full time partners based in Palo Alto, with additional 12 team members between Palo Alto and Asia.
